Was asked this question –

What are the most influential books you have read?

And this is part of his reply:

I think the most influential books that I have read generally come from authors who introduce me to many other authors other than themselves. If I were to list a handful of writers who have had a profound impact on me I would say Malcolm Muggeridge, G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis…In my present reading, I think the book that I have most recently picked up which has thoroughly impressed me is one that is called ‘Asking the Fathers’ and that is by Alfred Squire. He is of English stock and CambridgeOxford educated I think and now lives in the U.S. West Coast, he's a Dominican monk

In light of these revelations it’s frightening to think that Ravi Zacharias is viewed by many as a solid ‘evangelical’!

Added comment:  One must ask why would such a renowned evangelist choose to publicly glorify these authors? That is downright scary! He has revealed much about himself by his own words and it is not good. It seems we are coming full circle. Deception started almost as soon as the Church was birthed. Then came Roman Catholicism, then the Reformation and the martyrs. Now it seems one by one leaders are being seduced to return back to Rome. Those who choose not to go that direction and cling to truth will resemble the Early Church.

These are the men that Ravi says have had “a profound impact” on him:

G,K. Chesterton - convert to Catholicism.

Malcolm Muggeridge - convert to Catholicism. http://socrates58.blogspot.com/2006/01/malcolm-muggeridges-conversion-story.html

Alfred Squire - Dominican monk.

C.S. Lewis, although not Catholic, held to several core beliefs of Catholicism and was influenced by J.R. Tolkien who was a RC convert.
