Rom. 12:2 - "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, tht you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
"WIE.org is this month’s site. . . WIE stands for What is Enlightenment… on this site are the intellectual wing of what is often popularly referred to as the New Age Movement. If you want to be updated and clear as to the intellectual underpinnings of what is floating around in our culture on the ‘spiritual’ front this site is a great snap shot. This is heady and serious and will cause you to think about how you view the world and the nature of reality." Ron Martoia

misrepresent Jesus to the world. There seems to be two extremes – opposing sides of the pendulum, reacting to one another by taking opposite extremes. One side is legalism and the other side is lawlessness. Legalism says "my way or the highway." Lawlessness says, "live and let live." One side is intolerant of everyone outside their own circles and the other side tolerates everyone’s lifestyles and says we’re all just children of God. Both extremes are unbiblical. The spirit of the age and the spirit of religion are both deceiving influences that must be resisted. Both evil spirits ensnare men’s souls. Ron Martoia’s idea of the emerging church follows the same early error made by the Roman Catholic Church who mixed pagan ideas with Christian ones in order to bring all people together under their authority. And CBC is falling into that same temptation – mixing new age spirituality with Christianity to form a new church that is not founded upon the Word of God. The recent practice at CBC of venerating icons and returning to Catholic style mysticism in the use of candles and incense are symptomatic of a deeper problem that is now coming full circle. "But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: ‘A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire’" (2 Pet. 2:22). Do the right thing and hold your leadership accountable for this travesty by insisting that unless Pastor Chuck Smith Jr. repents or his people force him to leave, he should have the decency to remove his affiliation from the group his father founded.

1 Cor 2:16 - "For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ." "Since I broadly read in the areas of culture, creativity, leadership, personal development, theology, philosophy I will obviously be highlighting those areas. But a great volume on Bordeaux and its wines, or my latest yoga read, may also appear. - Ron Martoia - www.vortexdownload.com
